This vacation rental one bedroom apartment is located in the Upper East Side on a quiet block of row houses and elegant high-rise buildings dating to the 1920/30s. This prime location is just a short walk to Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as many great restaurants and shopping.

The apartment has a/c and consists of an open living room at the front and a spacious bedroom at the rear.

The living room includes a flat screen TV,full size bed, a large futon couch that opens up to a double-sized bed.

The bathroom has a bathtub/shower, ventilation window, toilet and sink with vanity.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There are plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils.

The ceilings are high and there is an abundance of light from the large windows located both in the living room and bedroom.

The bedroom is equipped with a full-sized bed, dresser and a closet. Additionally, the bedroom has a door that opens up to a balcony. There is no smoking allowed in the apartment. The building provides a full laundry facility in the basement.

The Upper East Side is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, between Central Park and the East River. The 1.8 square miles (4.7 km²) neighborhood, with elegant rows of landmark townhouses, once known as the 'Silk Stocking District', has some of the most expensive real estate in the United States, and is believed to be the greatest concentration of individual wealth in the nation. In the 19th century, and until the Park Avenue railroad cut was covered (finished in 1910), rich industrialists including Pittsburghers Andrew Carnegie and Henry Clay Frick began building stylish mansions and townhouses on the large lots along Fifth Avenue, abutting Central Park. One of the first sections to be developed was around 86th Street, where several prominent families of German descent built country estates. Yorkville as it was known, soon moved east past Lexington Avenue and became a suburb of middle-class Germans, many of whom worked in nearby piano factories, stables, and breweries. Madison Avenue from 60th Street well into the 80s is the monied crowd's main shopping strip, recently vaulting ahead of Hong Kong's Causeway Bay to become the most expensive retail real estate in the world.
